Last year, thirteen-year-old Judi Gleason's world came to a shattering stop when her Mom and new husband Scotty Gleason were killed in a tragic car accident while vacationing in the 1000 Valleys of the Umpqua region of Central Oregon, but this year something even more earth shaking happens - her Mom is alive! Suddenly recovered from a coma she wasn't expected to survive, but she's returning to Sheila and Reno Keptongue's Working Dude Ranch in the heart of the Old Growth Forest as a child in mind, trapped in a body that won't allow her to show how much of the original Donna Gleason has returned...like a teen, she's largely ignored, done for, however kindly, allowing the fractured Anglo and Native American Community to mend, but so one--not even her daughter Judi is listening ....except for one shy Native American boy who's accustomed to being overlooked because of his small stature, and together, he and the wild Red Wolves, unique to this part of the State help Judi and the larger Community to see life 'thru Wolf's Eyes': to experience life through the eyes of someone very different from yourself.
